Alison was a crucial part of Kelly’s medical support team in the build up to the 2004 Olympics and provides expert advice and treatment to ‘On Camp with Kelly’ athletes.
Profession:
- Has worked as a sports physiotherapist for 15 years and has her own sports injury clinic – Carnegie Sports Injury Clinic at Leeds Metropolitan University – and also works for the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield
- Physiotherapist with the GB Team at major championships since 2000, including at two Olympic Games
- Physiotherapist with the GB Cross Country Team since 2002
- Former physiotherapist to Kelly Holmes, including before and during the Athens 2004 Olympics
- Works with international athletes, divers, tennis and squash players and triathletes
Qualifications:
- Qualified with a degree in physiotherapy from Queen Margaret College in Edinburgh, MCSP, HPC
Athletics Career:
- Marathon runner and represented the GB Team at the 1994 European Athletics Championships, the 1995 World Athletics Championships and the 1995 World Marathon Cup
