Aviva has been the loyal sponsor of ‘On Camp with Kelly’ since the first educational camp in South Africa in 2004 and has helped Kelly develop the initiative to be the success that it is today.

Senior Sponsorship Manager, Gerri Carr, explains why the company backs the initiative: “Aviva has been supporting British athletes since 1999, providing athletes with the tools, training environments and competitions that they need to compete on the world stage. Since we began back in 2004 it has been a pleasure to witness a marked improvement in the performances of these talented young athletes involved in the scheme – some of which are now competing in the Aviva GB&NI Team at a senior level. Alongside our 12 year investment in schools and community athletics, 'On Camp with Kelly' is part of our ambition to really help pave the way for the next generation of champions, and we look forward to seeing what is to come.”

Aviva has been supporting British athletes since 1999 and is helping pave the way for their success by hosting six world class athletics events on home soil – the Aviva Series, supporting the Aviva GB & NI junior, senior and Paralympics teams as they prepare for all major championships. Through the Aviva Athletics Academy, they are also providing the opportunity for the next generation to get involved in athletics. The Aviva Athletics Academy is a fresh new approach to grassroots sport, designed to give every child in the country the opportunity to get involved in athletics by 2012, creating a long-term legacy for the sport, helping the next generation to stay healthy and active and hopefully unearthing even more champions along the way. The activity ranges from teacher training tools to inter schools competitions, disability sport recruitment and after school and summer holiday programmes.
