Dame Kelly Holmes has been nominated for the England Athletics Hall of Fame and for Athlete of the Decade 2000-2009.
The Hall of Fame was launched in 2008 to honour athletes who have made an outstanding contribution to the sport and is also intended to build their legacy in inspiring the next generation of athletes. Nominees are selected from a list of the most successful English Athletes of the last 100 years based on performance, success (medals, titles and records) and their contribution to athletics and they must have been retired for a minimum of five years.
This year England Athletics are also taking the opportunity to celebrate some of the incredible performances produced by our athletes during the last ten years with the Athlete of the Decade award.
