Three ‘On Camp with Kelly’ athletes have earned their first GB senior vests and will compete for the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland Team at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Doha, Qatar, on 12-14 March. Andrew Osagie (right), Ed Aston and Charlotte Best were all selected following excellent performances at the Aviva Grand Prix in Birmingham on Saturday 20 February.
Andrew and Ed (pictured below) will both compete in the 800m and set indoor personal bests and World Indoor qualifying times of 1:47.71 and 1:48.24 in third and fifth places respectively in Birmingham. The previous weekend Andrew won the gold and Ed the bronze medal at the Aviva Indoor World Trials and UK Championships in Sheffield.

Charlotte (right) is selected for the 1500m after finishing ninth in the mile in a personal best of 4:32.29 at the Grand Prix in her first race of the indoor season. Her time places her ninth on the UK all-time list for the indoor mile and her time at 1500m was inside the UKA qualifying time for the World Indoors of 4:15.00.
Dame Kelly said: “I would like to congratulate Charlotte, Andrew, Ed and their coaches on their selection for the World Indoor Championships. One of the aims of ‘On Camp with Kelly’ is to help athletes make a successful transition from junior to senior ranks and it is great to see OCWK athletes achieving that. Competing on the international stage against some of the top athletes in the world will be an excellent experience for them all and I am sure that they will learn a great deal.”
