Performances in 2010

After finishing second in the English National Cross Country, Stevie made her senior GB debut at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Poland on 28 March where she finished 47th.  She improved her 1500m best to 4:14.11 at the BMC Grand Prix at Watford on 12 June and reached the 1500m final at the Aviva UK Championships on 25-27 June.  She then won the 1500m title at the England Athletics Senior Championships on 17 July and set a new best for 3000m with 9:12.96 in a mixed race in Watford on 28 July.

Performances in 2009

Stevie won the silver medal in the 1500m at the BUCS Athletics Championships on 4 May and improved her personal best to 4:19.09 at the BMC Nike Grand Prix in Manchester on 30 May. She took another silver medal at the Aviva England Under 23 Championships on 28 June. She improved her 1500m best to 4:16.12 in the final of the Aviva World Trials and UK Championships on 11 July and has also improved her 800m best to 2:07.97.  On 25 July Stevie improved her personal best again to 4:14.37 in Barcelona.  In December she finished in tenth place and won team gold at the European Under 23 Cross Country Championships.

Introduction to Athletics

When Stevie was in year 8 at high school her PE teacher introduced her to her coach and she began training. In year 11 she got her first English Schools vest and decided that the feeling of achievement was fantastic and she wanted more.
