Introduction to Athletics

Non has been involved in sport since a very young age, starting off with gymnastics (represented Wales in the USA at the age of nine) and moving to swimming (regularly competed at national level). She discovered athletics by accident when her school encouraged her to run for their cross country team in year seven – she loved it and hasn’t looked back since. She initially relied on swimming training for fitness but gradually replaced pool sessions with running sessions and made the decision to move from swimming to athletics when she was 14.
