Linzi has also taken part in a number of OCWK races and won the 800m race at the Norwich Union Glasgow Grand Prix in 2007.

Performances in 2008

Linzi completed her set of BUSA 1500m medals, taking the silver medal behind fellow OCWK athlete Emma Pallant after taking gold in 2007 and bronze in 2006.

Performances in 2007

Linzi greatly improved her personal bests for 800m, 1500m and 3000m in 2007. She took four seconds off her 1500m best with 4:20.09 to win at the Essex Championships, where she also won the 800m, and further improved that time to 4:19.57. Over 800m, she first improved by a second with 2:06.53 to win the ‘On Camp with Kelly’ 800m at the Norwich Union Glasgow Grand Prix and then a week later ran 2:05.49. She ran an excellent tactical race to win gold in the 1500m at the British Universities Athletics Championships and also won the 1500m at the South of England Championships.

Introduction to Athletics

Linzi got into athletics through running for her primary school and doing well and started to take it seriously when she was 14.
