On Camp with Kelly Events
 
100% ME / Tonbridge Get-Together Weekend
October 2006

15 athletes with some of their coaches and parents attended the Get-Together Weekend on 27-28 October 2006.

The weekend started on Friday at the offices of UK Sport where the athletes attended a 100% ME drug free sport workshop and had a presentation about funding and upcoming competitions from UK Athletics.

On Saturday the athletes were in Kelly’s home town, Tonbridge in Kent, where they delivered a training session to local athletes. They also received a motivational talk from Kelly’s former coach Margot Jennings and took part in a Q&A session with one of Kelly’s main rivals on the track during her career, world indoor 800m record holder Jolanda Ceplak from Slovenia, and with Commonwealth 1500m champion Lisa Dobriskey.
