Involvement with OCWK
Charlotte has been part of ‘On Camp with Kelly’ since 2004 and has taken part in the following OCWK events (she was also selected for the South Africa Educational Camp in 2004 but was unfortunately unable to take part due to illness):

Charlotte received an ‘On Camp with Kelly’ Outstanding Achievement Award in 2007 in recognition of her performances at the European Athletics Under 23 Championships and at the World University Games and an Excellent Achievement Award in 2010.

Charlotte was selected for the World University Games in Shenzhen, China, where she won a bronze medal in the 4x400m and was a semi finalist over 800m.

Charlotte ran a personal best for the mile of 4:32.24 to finish ninth at the Aviva Grand Prix on 21 February which places her ninth on the UK indoor all-time list and earned her selection for the 1500m at the IAAF World Indoor Championships where she finished eighth in her heat. She set a season's best of 2:01.88 in fifth place in the OCWK 800m race at the Aviva London Grand Prix on 13 August.

Charlotte won the bronze medal in the 1500m at the Aviva European Trials and UK Championships on 14 February in her quickest ever time, indoors or out of, 4:16.16. She then smashed then best with 4:12.29 when finishing fifth at the Aviva Grand Prix in Birmingham on 21 February.

Charlotte set a new indoor best for 1500m of 4:16.61 to finish fourth at the Norwich Union UK Indoor Championships, a position that she repeated over 800m at the Aviva National Championships outdoors. She ran a season's best of 2:01.60 in Bydgoszcz on 1 July.

Charlotte capped an excellent 2007 season by winning a bronze medal in the 800m at the World University Games in Bangkok in a new personal best time of 2:01.50. She also set new personal bests for 400m (54.97) and 1500m (4:16.57) in 2007. She won the 800m gold medal at the Norwich Union England Athletics Under 23 Championships and went on to finish fifth at the European Athletics Under 23 Championships. She also finished fifth in the Norwich Union World Trials & UK Championships and won the British Universities Indoor 800m title.

Introduction to Athletics
Charlotte started running at school at the age of 12 and joined her local athletics club, Crawley AC. She started taking the sport seriously when she was 17.
