After running a couple of times close to her 1500m best, Carolyn set her first personal best since 2005 when she ran 2:05.47 in an 800m race in Belgium on 7 August.

During the indoor season Carolyn won silver medals over 800m at both the Southern Indoor Championships and the British University Indoor Championships.

Introduction to Athletics

Carolyn was introduced to athletics when she was 10 as her sister took part and she also watched it on TV. She started to take it seriously at the age of 13 after winning the English Schools.
