From November 2006 to May 2007 Dani was funded by OCWK to train with Kelly’s former coach Margot Jennings in Eugene, Oregon, USA. She was one of the OCWK 4x800m team that set a UK Junior record at the Adidas St Mary’s Relays in 2006.

Dani won the silver medal in 800m at Aviva UK Indoor Championships on 12-13 February.

Performances in 2010
Dani won the bronze medal in the 800m at the at Aviva UK Indoor Championships on 13-14 February in a new indoor best of 2:05.15. She set a new outdoor best of 2:04.51 at the Loughborough International on 23 May and improved that again to 2:04.28 at Watford on 12 June. She was sixth in the 800m final at the Aviva UK Championships on 27 June after improving her personal best to 2:03.55 the previous day and she improved that time again to 2:03.17 at the BMC meeting in Solihull on 10 July and again to 2:02.54 when finishing sixth in the OCWK race at the Aviva London Grand Prix on 13 August.

After setting an indoor best of 2:06.98 in her heat Dani finished fourth in the final at the Aviva European Trials and UK Championships on 14-15 February. In her first outdoor competition of the year she won the silver medal in the 800m at the BUCS Championships and has sinced improved her best to 2:04.91 and won a bronze medal at the Aviva England Under 23 Championships.

Performances in 2008
Dani set a new personal best for 800m of 2:05.59 in Loughborough on 18 May and improved it again to 2:05.56 in the OCWK 800m race at the Aviva London Grand Prix. She won two medals at the England Athletics Under 23 Championships on 21-22 June, taking the 800m bronze and 1500m silver.

Introduction to AthleticsDani first got involved in athletics when she started secondary school, having taken part in tennis, gymnastics and sailing for several years as well as competing for her school in eight different sports! After she broke both her wrists running took over as she couldn’t take part in other sports for a while and she joined Crawley AC at the age of 12. She competed at long jump and hurdles for a couple of years before turning to middle distance running.
