45 talented young female middle distance athletes aged between 16 and 24 are currently part of ‘On Camp with Kelly’. They have been selected to join OCWK as a result of their excellent results over 800m and/or 1500m and their performance during a tough selection process devised and overseen by Kelly. All the athletes have shown exceptional determination and talent to gain their places in Kelly’s unique mentoring initiative.
In 2008 15 young male athletes were invited to take part in ‘On Camp with Kelly’ on the basis of their performances over 800m and/or 1500m.
OCWK Support Programme
The OCWK Support Programme for female athletes has five categories - Gold, Silver, Bronze, Talent Transfer and Member.
Athletes are assigned to the Gold, Silver or Bronze tier based on their athletic performances and their commitment to OCWK and this is reviewed on an annual basis. Depending on their tier, athletes are entitled to different levels of mentoring, medical and financial support and coaches also receive benefits according to the tier of the athletes they work with.
Talent Transfer is for athletes who have chosen to compete in another sport at a high level.
Members are part of the 'OCWK Family' and may be invited to OCWK activities and receive other forms of support.
